WHO WE ARE

CHORUS is a research institute aiming at using marine soundscapes (i.e., biotic, abiotic and anthropogenic sounds emitted by a seascape) to study and monitor marine environments.

WHAT WE DO

Passive acoustics and eco-acoustics are at the core of our activities. We listen to the ocean's orchestra and decompose it to answer ecologically relevant questions, better understand marine ecosystems, use our findings to monitor coastal marine environments and transfer this knowledge via educational or consulting programs. Our activities consist in: Scientific RESEARCH - environmental MONITORING - TRAINING programs - public OUTREACH - CONSULTING
